Documents
A full word processor: fonts and styles, tables, lists, images and page layout, with themes, find and replace and an outline. Opens and saves Word files, and keeps your words in plain Markdown underneath.
Writezu is one app for your documents, PDFs and slide decks — and for presenting them live, with an audience screen, a presenter view, and a teleprompter that follows your voice. It all stays on your computer.
Good evening, and welcome. Tonight we look back on a year of small wins, late nights and good people — and we start by saying thank you to everyone who made it happen.
A word processor, a PDF editor, slides, an image editor and a notepad — side by side, and built to hand work to one another.
A full word processor: fonts and styles, tables, lists, images and page layout, with themes, find and replace and an outline. Opens and saves Word files, and keeps your words in plain Markdown underneath.
Highlight, redact and sign. Rotate pages or pull them into a new PDF, add a watermark and page numbers, set or remove a password, make scanned pages searchable, and compare two versions.
Every slide is the full editor, with themes, transitions, speaker notes and backgrounds — a colour, a picture, a video or a moving effect. Turn a document into slides, or slides into a document, with one button.
An image editor with layers, brushes, shapes and filters — and AI image generation if you add your own key. Put what you make straight onto a document or a slide.
Notes and to-dos with dates, reminders and pins. A keyboard shortcut jots one down from anywhere on your computer, and one click turns a note into a full document.
Everything works by hand. Add a key from the AI provider you choose and it can rewrite, fix, shorten or summarise what you select — nothing is sent until you ask.
Run a talk, a class or a Sunday service from one laptop: the room sees the audience screen, you see everything else.
Speech is recognised on your own computer — nothing you say is sent anywhere. It's fastest with an NVIDIA graphics card and works on any recent processor.
Voice is an optional extra download from inside the app: about 130 MB, or about 550 MB for the graphics-card version.
Documents, decks and PDFs are saved on your machine and never uploaded to us. The account only holds your email address.
Your writing is kept as Markdown and HTML, and saves out as Word, PDF and more. Nothing holds it hostage.
To have your work on more than one computer, sync it to your own GitHub — straight from your machine, never through us.
Restyle a page or rework a deck freely — every change can be walked back, one step at a time.
With your email address, or with Google.
Downloads are for account holders. The installer is about 12 MB.
Once. After that it remembers you, works offline, and updates itself.
Yes. You need a free account to download it and to sign in to the app — that's all.
Yes. Your files never leave your computer. Writezu checks your account whenever it can, and needs to reach us at least once a week to keep working.
Not yet. Writezu runs on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).
A microphone, and a one-time download from inside the app. An NVIDIA graphics card makes it much faster, but it works on any recent processor. Speech is recognised on your computer, not online.
By itself. When there's a new version, Writezu says so, and one click installs it and opens it again.
Your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name — to run your account. Never your files. The privacy policy has the details.
Make a free account, download Writezu, and have your first document — or your first show — ready tonight.
